Fifth edition. Summary and adjunct study-guide to Sutcliffe's full Course of Instruction in Psycho-Cosmology, an influential proto-New-Age movement of the mid-twentieth-century whose purpose was "to discover and consciously link ourselves with the source of mind-power; the Infinite Creative MInd of the Universe." Sub-headings include Auras and Their Significance, Law of Vibration and Mind, Re-Incarnation, and Man--The Physical Pinnacle.
The School of Radiant Living was founded by English psychologist Herbert Sutcliffe, D.Sc., Ph.D. D.D., F.F.Sc; the first Sutcliffe School was established in Providence, Rhode Island, though the organization would be headquartered in New Zealand from the 1940s onward, where it gained considerable popularity over the subsequent decades and counted among its (temporary) adherents Sir Edmund Hillary. Radiant Living would come to espouse elimination diets (well before their mainstream popularity in more recent years) and various questionable cures for physical ailments and mental mailaise. The Radiant Living philosophy as summarized in this booklet tended more towards proto-self-help than serious occultism, and rested on a foundation of Christian-based exhortation to spiritual self-improvement and general psychoanalytically-inflected optimism.
