In French. By the founder of the Le Patriarche association, which espoused an anti-drug program of withdrawal based on peer supervision without medical assistance, philosophically based in part on the Summerhill model. Founded in 1974, the nonprofit opened centers in 17 countries and would later be identified as a cult by the French government, culminating in the trial and conviction of Engelmajer for embezzlement, forgery, money laundering, and various forms of abuse. Le Patriarche subsequently rebranded as Dianova; Engelmajer fled to Belize to escape his prison sentence, where he later died.

Lengthy inscription in French to Ethel Kennedy, whom the author seems to have held in high esteem.
