First two issues (out of three published) of this groundbreaking magazine published by art dealer Monika Spruth, which sought to challenge the under-representation of women in the art world. Featured artists include Astrid Klein, Louise Bourgeois, Georgia O'Keefe, Eva Hesse, Louise Lawler, Gretchen Bender, Ina Barfuss, and Anne Loch. The first issue also included pieces on musicians -- notably Tina Turner, Joni Mitchell, Patti Smith, Debbie Harry, Lydia Lunch, Laura Nyro, Suzanne Vega, Lizzy Mercier Descloux, and The Slits. Issues 1 and 2 were pubished in conjunction with a series of all-female exhibitions at Monika Spruth Galerie, each focusing primarily on the artists in the shows. [Allen, ARTISTS' MAGAZINES, p. 258].
