Flyer for a Memorial Day rally for disarmament on May 27th, 1978 at the United Nations. Organized by prominent pacifist group Mobilization for Survival, the rally took place during the United Nations first special session on nuclear disarmament. The program for the event included appearances by Pete Seeger, John Conyers, Daniel Ellsberg and the Bread and Puppet Theater. Mobilization for Survival was founded in 1977 and advocated through local chapters to abolish nuclear weapons and power, stop military intervention, meet human needs, and reverse the arms race.
