MOJO was one of the earliest (and most important) music zines. An major news source for counterculture and alternative music in San Francisco, this issue centers around an extensive interview with Janis Joplin with Big Brother and the Holding Co. Also: news of the Doors, Jefferson Airplane, and the Mamas and the Papas. Mojo Navigator, which ran for 14 issues, was a precursor to landmark rock magazines. Issues are now uncommon.
