New York [NOT New Jersey!]: Blister Magazine, [ca. 1980]. First Edition. 11" x 8.5" approx. offset duplicated recto only. Two fold lines, with minor edge-wear and toning. Very good. Very good. Item #16793
A beyond-amateur call for submissions for "New York's only good punk magazine!" with teenage-boy aesthetics (bad handwriting, anarchist symbol, skull and crossbones) and a New Jersey mailing address. BLISTER may have made it into production but it didn't get very far; OCLC locates an entry for Blister Magazine edited by David Scilken with an Orange, N.J. address, but finds no institutional holdings. Scilken played with future Beastie Boy Adam Horovitz in their hardcore band The Young and The Useless, and went on to work with the Beasties in various capacities throughout the 1980s, until Scilken's death from an overdose in 1991.
