[Nine Original Vintage Photographs of an Early Butthole Surfers Performance]

[ca. 1984]. First Edition. Nine vintage color snapshot photographs measuring approximately 4 1/2" x 3 1/2" each. Light adhesive residue shadow to verso sfrom removal from perished album. Overall clean, sharp. Very good +. Item #15332

A collection of nine snapshot photographs of an early Butthole Surfers performance, likely taken on or around 1984 at an unknown venue. Captured from the crowd, close to the stage and showing Paul Leary and Gibby Haynes shirtless. The general atmospheric quality of the prints can be forgiven considering the reputation of the band's shows of the era as raucous. The lineup pictured, including Haynes and Leary, includes King Coffey and Theresa Nervosa on drums, and an unidentifiable bass player. A stirring portait of the band in it's neo-psychedelia prime.
